TM3 Models

Posted by Triple-Elemental - April 8th, 2008

Alright everybody! As you may know, TM2 is out on NG andTM3 is underway! For the moment, all I have been working on is character models but we have a storyline and stuff like that set up as well, Anyways, i was drawing the new models in flash and after rewatching the series so far I've noticed a pretty big jump in "styles" between TM2 an what I'm doing now. I think it looks good, however I'm not sure if the change is so great. Perhaps it would work, that's why I'm asking your guys' advice. Do you think it looks fine and we should use it, or do you think i should go back to the drawing board and make something a little closer to the original? Hope to hear from you,
-Mike
PS Ignore the hands of TM2 Mike, something went wrong there.

Woah! That is a huge improvement! The style has improved dramatically just like Proactiv improves clearer skin!

Anyways, it makes the characters looks a bit too young compared to to the old models. Why? not sure maybe it is how small the new model is or something, but this is an amazing improvement. I am really looking forward to TM3....Although it seems too good of an improvement...

Thanks man, I didn't think this was even comparable to Proactiv:)

So, you think it's young-good, or you think I should try to make it seem older? Thanks again!

lol, old one just looks so . . . long. Looks good now.

Thanks man, I thought it looked a little long now too....

Try making the model look a bit older

I already have, and I'm not sure if it looks older with what I did...I simply made the head smaller so it doesn't look so big compared to the body, when i'm done with the main models I think I'll post them up here.

Love the new model lots - especially the new ideas, but now I think:
1] It's just a BIT too short.
2] It's a little disproportionate: legs too short and too small.
3] The arms are too broad - looks like he's shrugging.
4] Last but not least, one arm is too big (left from the audience's view). Maybe you should make it a little smaller.

Ya, I'm thinking of making the models a bit longer, and I'm going to make Mike's shoulder's a little less broad. And perhaps I'll make his right (His actual right, left to the audience) a bit smaller, I'll see how it looks.

Also, glad to see you use this account you created a year ago for something.

great models, there such a new improvement!!
thats pretty much what im doing with my models with my new movie :p
its took a while cause I right now im using tweening limbs for the first time in my movies
but enough bout my what-doing, you stuff is looking great

Thanks man! Ya, I know making tweening models is hard if you haven't made a movie that way before, I'm still trying to get it right. If you need any help just ask me, and I'll do what I can!

Yeah, it looks better.

Thanks!
